ShotGun Wedding
It was December 4th
on an unseasonably hot day
Drenched in sweat
You would have thought it was May
Two bodies stood at the temple
but only one soul would stay.
Betrayed by their love,
the bride thought the groom should pay.
The Groom was trembling from the cold feet had
So she whispered in his ear
"You won't remember this date,
For what I have under this dress will surely make it clear."
So the groom continued to stare love in the eye,
but he didn't noticed the rage on her face.
The preacher yelled for their life vows,
but grater belt held the groom's faith.
Coldness pierced her thigh
Moisture ran down his face
Forever, you saw nervousness in his eye
but only the metal and her wouldn't separate.
Matrimony is suppose to be forever.
Weddings mark that special day.
But he lied, about staying out late
So she would end the wedding in her own heartfelt way.
A shotgun came from under her dress,
Then pointed her love to his head
Bang, bang everyone fled.
The preacher then announced that he was dead.
She urged for the rest of the wedding to be read,
While people Boo Hooed.
See weddings can be sad, as
Now stand the Shotgun and bride instead of the groom.
